Frequently Asked Questions
Do you make your breadbox to fit this carburetor?
The simple answer is that we only make our air intakes to suit the carburetors listed in that items options. We can make one off products to suit other carbs, but it is important to note that this then comes under our 'custom works' programme.

Do I need carb support bracket when purchasing your breadbox or velocity stack?
Yes. the air intakes that I offer do need a carb support bracket. If the carburetor is not supported the seal between the carb and the intake manifold may leak resulting in a lean running engine that can become damaged over time. For EVO motors and Twincam motors you can purchase the GASBOX carb support bracket through Razorback Motosupply found on the parts page.

Are you able to make your velocity stack to different lengths?
Our velocity stack can be made to different lengths which comes under our custom works programme. Whilst this adjustment to the design and manufacturing process won't be as expensive as other requests, additional costs will be added to cover material, manufacturing costs and CAD/CAM changes.

Does my sportster / big twin need breather bolts?
Earlier sportsters and big twins breathe directly from the crank case as apposed to newer Evo motors that breathe form the heads via the bolts that are used to secure the carb bracket in place. It's best to check the year of your motorcycle against an owners manual or consult a professional to make sure that you get the parts that are right for you. If you have an Evo motor that does use the head breathing system, these are required as installing solid bolts could result in severe engine failure.

Do you do onsite welding / will you come to my garage and weld this up for me?
This is a service that can be offered so please get in touch using the form below so we can see if we are able to help. TIG welding is our preferred method of welding and we can carry out this service on steel and stainless steel. Any aluminium jobs will need to be collected and taken back to our workshop.
